I recently had the pleasure of staying at , Loy Chalet and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The resorts location is simply unbeatable, nestled in a picturesque setting that offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. It provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, yet it was conveniently close to local attractions and amenities. The villa itself was nothing short of spectacular. Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed by the elegant design and luxurious furnishings. The spacious rooms were meticulously clean and well-maintained, with every comfort thoughtfully provided. The private terrace and pool were highlights, offering a tranquil spot to relax and soak up the sun while enjoying the stunning scenery. What truly set Loy Chalet apart, however, was the exceptional staff. From the moment I checked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. Every staff member I encountered went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. They were attentive without being intrusive, always ready to assist with a smile and a genuine desire to make my experience as enjoyable as possible. The culinary offerings at the hotel were equally impressive. The on-site restaurant served a variety of delicious dishes, each prepared with fresh, local ingredients. The breakfasts were a particular delight, with a wide selection of options that catered to every palate. Dining on the terrace, with the sun rising over the horizon, was a daily highlight. In addition to the beautiful accommodations and outstanding service, the hotel offered a range of activities and amenities that enhanced my stay. From the relaxing spa treatments to the well-equipped fitness center and the array of water sports available, there was never a dull moment. Each day was filled with opportunities for both adventure and relaxation. Overall, my stay at the Loy Chalet was nothing short of amazing.

The chalets are basically brand new, with no wear or tear, nice and clean; far larger than they seem in the pictures! The little patio areas are beautiful, each with their own bathtubs. The pool area was particularly impressive, peaceful and clean, right next to the small restaurant/bar so you could order drinks to your poolside sun lounger. I was even able to arrange with reception to get a foot massage on our patio from one of the Thai masseurs up the road. I read some previous reviews complaining about the free breakfast which I found to be completely unfounded. The breakfast is included as standard in the room price, what is there to complain about? It wasn't a full English breakfast like we'd get at home, but they had a la carte options for everyone, fresh fruit, ham and cheese croissants, bacon, eggs, toast, etc. and even a breakfast salad option which was a fantastic healthy option which you wouldn't normally find anywhere else. The bar/restaurant staff were so friendly and the reception staff so helpful. The morning we checked out we had to miss breakfast as it was early, so they made sure to box up a couple of free croissants and takeaway coffees for us for the road which they didn't need to do, it was a genuinely thoughtful parting gesture. Beyond impressed by the location. 15 mins drive from Ao Nang, if you like that sort of touristy vibe. Klong Muang beach was an absolute dream, 10 min walk down the road with beautiful and affordable beach bars and restaurants. The road the resort was based on was full of fantastic eating and drinking venues, either lively or quiet, whatever you fancied. We were beyond impressed by both the location and the resort itself. We'll definitely return again on our next visit to Krabi.

It is approached by a long driveway maybe 200 metres long which really limited traffic noise to virtually zero. It’s a small resort which manages to give you the feeling of being surrounded by jungle. Chalets were modern, spacious with plenty of complimentary water provided daily. Air conditioning worked great, bed was large & comfy, shower powerful and warm. Room safe was large. Room had a pretty large fridge and small kitchen area. Smart TV with Netflix etc. Swimming pool was large especially as there is only 19 chalets. Never an issue getting sun-beds with parasols. Do not be put off by the fact the pool is saltwater it isn’t as salty as the ocean! Reception staff were friendly and spoke really good English. Breakfast was nice but limited. There was enough choice if staying for 5/6 days without getting bored. It isn’t buffet so you can only order 1 dish and get charged for any others but they aren’t expensive if you wanted to order additional, we didn’t. Yes you pay more for other than instant coffee but this wasn’t an issue for us. There are several restaurants within short walking distance. This is a quiet area of Krabi however with no real bars with live bands etc. It has several beachfront restaurants with excellent views of the sunsets and fire shows on regularly. Klong Muang beach is a 10 minute walk away and it is a pretty beach.

Loved the private villas can’t wait to visit again in the future! Bear in mind this property is set back from the main road and feels like you’re in the jungle surrounded by greenery. You don’t need an alarm clock here, unless you sleep with earplugs the jungle will wake you up it’s amazing! Salt water pool is great, especially that it’s open until 10pm, it’s warm by the end of the day and is a perfect bathe with a cocktail at the end of a busy day exploring Krabi. Bed is very comfortable, nice to have access to a kitchen if you want to have lunch or dinner at home. Breakfast included is really nice, not buffet, a la carte from the menu. French toast, yoghurt granola, bacon egg waffles, sandwiches, Loy chalet breakfast all really good. Khlong Muang beach is less than 10 mins away and is stunning, lots of very shallow clear water with plenty of snorkeling opportunities. Andalay beach club cafe & restaurant I recommend. Lots of nice restaurants within 10 mins walking and 7-eleven same distance. Unless you don’t mind taxi I recommend renting scooter as weather in April can reach 36+ degrees and too hot to walk during the day.

Overall, we had a very nice stay at Loy Chalet. All of the staff we encountered were lovely and helped arranged a private longboat tour of Hong Islands for a reasonable price, and we had a great day. The saltwater pool is large and clean and, whilst sunbeds are limited, we had no problems. Breakfast was nice and tasty and the one choice from the menu didn't bother us. The area is lovely and quiet and in stark contrast to Ao Nang. Lovely quiet beach and some really great cafe restaurants within a short walk.
